Cre8x8x8: WADC Miniature Art Auction
The Miniature Art Auction is a long-standing and successful event in which distinguished designers, illustrators and photographers donate works of art no larger than 8"x8"x8" to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. When I ran the 2006 show, I set about an intense campaign with a distinct theme fusing in the dimensions, then aggressively promoted the show using borderline guerrilla marketing tactics with a series of printed materials. The response from those donating and buying the art was outstanding, and the show was a profitable success.
